Pax Tech Hack

  • Gates are now open to submit your PaxTechHack challenges

    PaxTechHack will be taking place in the heart of the PTS show floor. Over 70 participants are confirmed to compete and will be coming together on April 2nd to form teams, receive challenges, and commence coding. Each team will have 48 hours to develop ideas and solutions to overcome the challenges set by you. Once the clock hits zero, competitors must down their digital tools before our expert panel of judges will decide the winning teams for each challenge set.

  • Submit Your Challenge


    • Four spaces are available for airlines and airports to get on-board PackTechHack.
    • Before the event you will meet or conference call with selected developers to share your concepts and challenge ideas.
    • Throughout the hackathon, mentors from your company will be able to provide guidance and receive insights from the developers.
    • Prototypes will be presented at the end of the event. With the winning team for each challenge being selected by our panel of experienced judges.

    The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the trade association for the world's airlines, representing some 290 airlines or 82% of total air traffic. IATA is looking forward to being at Passenger Experience Week.

    Winners Announced Thursday 4th April

    The winning teams will be announced on Thursday 4th of April at the PTS Seminar Theatre during our free-to-attend sessions. Deciding the each winner will be our judges panel of industry experts and challenge setters, selecting the teams who have developed the most innovative and disruptive solutions as PaxTechHack champions for 2019.
